Durango's entertainment offerings have gained momentum with the launch of the 30th annual Durango Bluegrass Meltdown on April 10. Spanning three days across multiple downtown venues, the festival includes live performances, impromptu jam sessions, workshops, and a barn dance, with artists such as Shelby Means on the lineup. Three-day passes are available for $140 in advance, and children 12 and under attend free.[1]

Diverse Performances at Concert Hall

The Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College hosts a multigenre series this month. Highlights encompass Neil Berg’s 50 Years of Rock and Roll on April 4, Pilobolus Dance Theatre’s Other Worlds Collection on April 8, Brazil Beyond Samba featuring vocalist Caro Pierotto and ensemble Farofa on April 17, and Americana by Kelly Willis and Emily Scott Robinson on April 28. The iAM Music Fest commences April 30 across eight stages in downtown Durango, presenting more than 25 artists from local youth musicians to national touring acts. Proceeds fund iAM Music Institute programs, including student scholarships, paid internships, and a free instrument rental service, creating opportunities for emerging performers and technicians.[5]
