Flagstaff continues its annual Road Repair and Street Safety project with active construction phases scheduled through mid-September. Utility work is set to resume September 16, accompanied by expected congestion and noise. Overnight lane restrictions persist on Milton Road between Forest Meadows Street and Phoenix Avenue through the week, narrowing travel to one lane in each direction with a reduced speed limit. Separately, crews finished bridge work over the Rio de Flag on Route 66 ahead of schedule, reopening the road with intermittent single-lane restrictions continuing into October.[2]
Resurfacing on Lake Mary Road south of the city began in early September, covering approximately 3.6 miles with milling, repaving, and restriping; drivers should anticipate delays and shoulder closures.[3]
