Students in the Paso Robles area have upcoming opportunities to connect with employers through career fairs at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

Career Fairs at Cal Poly

The university's Fall Career Fair takes place over two days in mid-September, welcoming students and alumni from its six academic colleges to meet representatives from various industries.[1] A separate Business Career Fair follows shortly after, targeting students in accounting, finance, marketing and related fields.[5] These events provide direct access to potential internship and career opportunities in the region.

New Cosmetology Training Facility

Paso Robles High School will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 18 to celebrate its new Bearcat Institute of Cosmetology.[8] The purpose-built salon serves the school's newest Career Technical Education pathway, which began with 28 students this fall. The three-year program includes hands-on training leading to eligibility for the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology licensing exam.

Attendees at career fairs are encouraged to prepare resumes and research participating employers in advance to maximize networking. The cosmetology facility opening includes public tours following the ceremony, offering students and community members a chance to view the dedicated training space.

These events support preparation for local opportunities in business, technical trades and related sectors.
