Pitkin County announced on August 3, 2026, the selection of Construction Manager at Risk teams for the runway and terminal components of the Airport Modernization Project at Aspen/Pitkin County Airport.
Earlier this year, Kiewit Infrastructure was selected as the CMAR for the runway reconstruction and relocation project. Kiewit/FCI, a Joint Venture, has been selected as the CMAR for the terminal and landside project.[1]
Both contracts have been awarded to a Kiewit company, with dedicated teams for each project. The teams bring experience in aviation and transportation infrastructure, including prior work at the airport.[1]
