CaroMont Health marked the start of construction on its new Cancer Center with a kick-off event on May 15. The 125,000-square-foot facility is part of a $200 million investment in oncology care.[1]

Project Details

The center will consolidate medical oncology, radiation therapy, imaging, diagnostics, and supportive services. It aims to double the health system's oncology capacity and serve approximately 3,000 new patients annually.

“This building represents something far greater than square footage,” said Chris Peek, President and Chief Executive Officer of CaroMont Health. “It is a promise to our community that world-class cancer care will be here – designed for the way patients actually experience their journey...”

The project responds to rising cancer incidence in the region and supports recruitment of specialized medical talent.

Professional Opportunities

The development strengthens the organization's ability to attract top oncology professionals and expand care networks across nearby locations.

Additional updates on construction timelines and related facilities are expected in coming months.
