On May 1, the City of Show Low marked its 73rd incorporation anniversary with a party at Frontier Field, providing free food, games, and raffle prizes from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.[1] Complementing the occasion, Food Truck Friday at the Arts Alliance of the White Mountains offered art, music, and food trucks from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.[1]

The festivities continued May 1-2 with the Show Low BBQ Throwdown, a professional barbecue competition at Frontier Field celebrating the city's milestone.[2] This event draws teams from across the country, fostering community spirit alongside culinary competition.

Rockin' the Rim Rocks Memorial Weekend

The Show Low Chamber of Commerce presents Rockin' the Rim from May 22-24 at Frontier Field. This annual fundraiser includes live music, vendor booths, food trucks, and a kids' zone, running Friday 12 p.m.-9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m.-2 p.m.[3][4]

Closing out the month, the Monster X Tour brings monster truck spectacles to Deuce of Clubs Thunder Raceway on May 29-30, featuring multiple shows with gates opening at 6 p.m.[5] These events signal sustained interest in live entertainment, setting the stage for continued community gatherings and potential expanded offerings at local venues in the near term.
